After releasing 3 consecutive singles in 2019, Aleik Maddox has returned to reveal a brand new single, "Roxii". The fictional Roxii is a carefree beach lover and an embodiment of the desire of larger-than-life people, dreams, and possessions that are all found during a social media scroll session.

"I just woke up at 3 am, scrolled on Instagram and thought about all the places I wanted to play, musicians I wanted to meet, and other things I felt were impossible to have. Then the chords started running through my head," the multi-talented vocalist and guitarist said.

The song draws from the perspective of a playful hopeless romantic captivated by the online push and pull of love, frustration, delusion, and social media. Ultimately, he realizes he'll never get what he desires.

Aleik Maddox found his musical beginnings when banging away on the drums at the age of 3. His father was always supportive of his musicianship.

"One of my first memories is being thrown up on stage at a music festival, looking up at my Pops and wondering how in the world he did it," Maddox said.

After watching the film "The School Of Rock" and a Jimi Hendrix documentary, Aleik discovered his burning passion for electric guitar and songwriting. This journey landed him the opportunity to play with Rick Cline (percussion instructor of Lenoir Rhyne University), the late Ric Delozier (50-year music veteran and graduate of Musicians Institute) and many others before moving to Orlando, Florida in 2020.

In the Sunshine State, he met many amazing musicians, two of whom are featured in Roxii — Curtis Lyons featured on drums and Matt Gahr on bass. After forming together as Blu Moon Revival, Aleik decided to record Roxii in Matt's home studio in Titusville, Florida, before making his journey to Denver, Colorado. The allure of this beachy rock tune is only the beginning of much more to come.

The release date is set for June 11, which is also Aleik's birthday.
