About The Artist

“I fell in love with the exchange of emotion between the band and the audience and I wasn’t able to see myself wanting to do anything else at that point.” (Aleik Maddox, https://shoutoutcolorado.com/meet-aleik-maddox-singer-songwriter-instrumentalist/) Aleik Maddox is a 26-year-old guitarist and singer from Lawndale, North Carolina. Heavily inspired by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Bob Dylan, and Sly and the Family Stone, his personal style is a concoction of these influences. Though one may expect a mess of notes and rhythms, it usually comes out as a Rock or Funk with lyrics that are personal, emotional, and yet easy to take in. His first live performances were with Rick Cline who asked Aleik to be a sub in his wedding band Baby Black. Since then, he’s gone on to play at Tin Roof, Will’s Pub, and the Grant Seafood Festival all located in Florida. Aleik’s original music is colorful and intentional. With the drive of Rock, tasteful licks, and the sweetness of Soul classics, Aleik crafts melodies, harmonies, and lyrics to bring together an aural euphoria. He is currently working on his debut album currently titled “Mother” for which he’s had several studio sessions with bassist Matt Gahr and drummer Curtis Lyons. Aleik takes it upon himself as a musician to provide a fun, emotional, and exhilarating experience through performance. He engages with the crowd and never has trouble asking people to participate in the show. You owe it to yourself to be a part of this experience.
